Things to consider before joining this co-op. We ask that you read through each one. If you still would like more information, please contact one of the Coordinators.
___There is an application required for joining. Applications will be reviewed and applicants will be contacted for interview.
___Volunteer commitment is essential to participate in this group. Minimum of two hours per week is required. Parents are to be present during co-op. No dropping your child off at co-op for the day. Teaching a high school class qualifies you for a tuition waiver for the first student.
___Required attendance monthly parent meetings are held the 1st Thursday of each month from 10:30 to about 11:30 am. These are mandatory.
___Fundraising. This is a critical part of our home school group. Funds are used to pay teachers, use of the building and heat, education materials needed by teachers, theater program, as well as year end class trip. There are three major fundraising events per year: candle sales, wreath sales and spaghetti dinner. In addition to sales, there are a number of ways to participate, as in organizing, collecting funds, etc.
___We have a Statement of Faith that we ask you to read and sign. It is not required to be are a Christian to be a part of Lighthouse, but we ask that you respect the Statement of Faith. Anyone/anything that advocates something contrary to our Statement of Faith, will not be accepted.
___It is recommended that students sign up for two or more classes.
